In 2012, Republicans put their hope in Unskewed Polls, a now-defunct website dedicated to unskewing the polls that were tending to show Obama’s re-election. (Unskewed Polls now appears to be hawking beauty supplies in German.) This election year, radio personality Bill Mitchell has taken the lead in deconstructing all the polls that show Clinton ahead.

Mitchell is convinced that almost every media poll has been skewed to favor Democrats and Clinton. If he’s right, he’ll go down in history as one of the few who predicted that Trump would win – and win in a landslide. If he’s wrong…there will be a lot of soul searching, and he’s promised to leave Twitter:

That’s only if Clinton wins fairly. If she wins, Mitchell will no doubt claim that she won unfairly, through vote rigging and ballot fraud. His main argument is that polls have been oversampling groups that are favorable to Clinton, but those folks won’t vote in the general election in the same proportion.

Mitchell also relies on something he calls the Monster Vote – apparently those white male voters who have been sitting on the sidelines in past elections but who are ready to cast their ballots for Trump this time.
